Condition Surveys present an accurate recording of the existing condition of a building or surrounding area. A condition survey provides an assessment of physical property conditions. The demanding task of controlling tunnel and shaft heading comprises all the surveying required for the construction of underground and mining structure. AKSM implements high accuracy applications which allow us to survey with pinpoint accuracy for underground construction projects. Specifically, we offer a wide array of surveying and mapping services to the tunneling and underground construction community, including project-wide geodetic control networks, control and alignment verification for tunnel boring machines, deformation monitoring, control transfer through vertical shafts of tunnels, and tunnel alignment verification using precision survey techniques.
Bridge surveying is necessary to locate a site, obtain information for design, and furnish lines and grades for construction. A reconnaissance survey is made at all possible sites. A preliminary survey is made at the best site to establish horizontal and vertical control and to obtain information for the bridge design and construction planning. A location survey is made to lay out the bridge according to the bridge plans. During the actual construction, the surveyor establishes any additional lines and grades required by the construction foreman. The accuracy of measurements and the number and type of survey markers vary with the degree of precision demanded and the type of construction. Three dimensional displacement measurements (3D) are carried out within the Zone of influence in order to determine the movement on adjacent to the project structures and buildings. Reflectors are installed in tunnels, structures, etc. and the measurements are made with high precision total stations by the method of free station.The reference network of the points, that is used for 3D measurements, consists of reference points with permanent labeling at the locations outside the zone of influence of the works or at locations remote to the excavation faces. The reference network will be checked at regular time intervals. All the measurements are corrected by the impact of the pressure and temperature diffractions. The precision of the measurements of total displacements is ± 2mm.
The system consists of a high accuracy networked robotic total stations and prisms located on the point of interest. This system ensures valuable and timely monitoring of the displacements, providing high measurements density, simultaneous wireless transmission and entry of the results into the MDB system to ensure minimal time between their reading and their evaluation. The total stations are remotely controlled by software and are capable of: • Following a pre-programmed operation • Allowing changes in the measurement regime to be implemented , including the measurement cycle • Providing continuous data for one point
